About
Fabian Thieser
I'm a software developer based in Germany. I build things — sometimes professionally, sometimes for a tennis club with two-hundred members, sometimes just to see if I can.
This blog is called Building Anyway — a nod to Tom Scott's line about projects that don't need to be big, don't need to last forever, and might just have an audience of one. That's mostly what I make. And I've stopped apologizing for it.
I write about software, AI, what it means to ship things in 2026, and occasionally about sitting in the backseat of cars through Slovenia with a catastrophic hangover.
What I work with
- TypeScript
- Astro
- React
- Cloudflare Workers
- AI tooling
